Boat building returns to White Bluff, former Ebbtide facility now Boca Bay Boats

That’s the plan for the owners of Boca Bay Boats, who recently purchased the former Ebbtide facility on Jones Creek Road. For decades, the privately-owned company located near Montgomery Bell State Park was run by Timmy Trabue. Ebbtide Holdings, LLC bought the property this year and quickly discovered a lot of work was needed, said Chief Financial Officer David Sydes. The company, which was founded in November of 2016, also will manufacture Aquasport boats. In Ebbtide’s heyday, the plant employed more than 100 people with some working there for decades.
