Nearstream merges with LoopFuse, turning social media chatter into sales leads
Summary
Seattle startup Nearstream has merged with Atlanta-based LoopFuse, creating a new organization that’s designed to help companies mine Facebook, Twitter and other social media channels for sales leads. The company will be based in Seattle, led by Nearstream CEO and former Gist executive Robert Pease and Nearstream CTO and former MessageGate executive Bradley Young. “We’ve both been working with the LoopFuse team while we’ve been building out Nearstream and this was the natural evolution of things combining established marketing automation functionality — email marketing, lead scoring, CRM integration, etc. Nearstream is still in development, but Pease said that they’ve developed a unique way to help companies monitor potential buying intent on social channels and then respond to the leads and track results. LoopFuse CEO Sean Dwyer will join the Nearstream board, and the LoopFuse team will continue to be based in Atlanta.
