Hollyoaks confirms Cleo McQueen exit twist in special three-hander episode
Summary
Hollyoaks spoilers have confirmed Cleo McQueens exit from the Channel 4 soap, following actress Nadine Mulkerrin recently giving birth to a baby boy. Nadine was pregnant during filming for her dramatic exit scenes, as her character learns her partner Mitchell is in love with Scotts drag alter-ego Anita. Following a deadly accident in the village, Scott is left unconscious in hospital and in the latest episode, Cleo found her distressed boyfriend begging him to wake up. She also recalls her past romances with Harry Thompson and Joel Dexter - played by off-screen boyfriend Rory Douglas-Speed - and decides she deserves so much more. "Hollyoaks does that very well and obviously Imran [who plays Mitchell] is a brilliant actor and he’s just done it fantastically.” Imran Adams added: "It’s not just about not being able to come out because of pride or ego or image, it’s because of his culture, religion, family, upbringing, and also because of a sense that he owes his granddad so much based on how much he has provided for him.” Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6:30pm on Channel 4, with the next episode at 7pm on E4.
