Arrow Electronics Links Into Qualcomm's Smart Cities Effort

Centennial, Colorado-based electronics and technology provider Arrow Electronics said on Tuesday that it is linking into a "smart city" effort run by Qualcomm Technologies. According to Arrow, it will participate in the Smart Cities Accelerator Program run by Qualcomm, which is focused on connecting devices into existing mobile broadband networks. Arrow said that it will leverage its recent acquisition of eInfochips, a provider of engineering services, as part of the deal, explaining that will allow it to "collaborate" with leading OEMs to develop smart city edge appliances. eInfochips apparently has expertise in Qualcomm Technologies products.
