Summary

Two industry moves at big media companies which will have impact in the mobile content side of things as well: — Jean-Briac (J.B.) Perrette has been promoted to president, digital distribution, NBCU, from SVP-new media distribution and CFO, NBC Universal Cable. Perrette’s new responsibilities are wide: distribution of television content across multiple digital platforms, including interactive television, wireless, on-demand and IPTV and he will be the “primary lead” for NBCU content discussions with portals, wireless carriers, emerging digital companies, and nontraditional customers. — CBS’s interactive/digital arm has made a senior appointment, and more proof that it is very serious on doing lots of Silicon Valley acquisitions: Michael Marquez has been named VP of strategy and corporate development.
