We, somehow, have an unconscious knack of being the birthplace of people who tightly focus on a goal, zoom in for a lock and loaded position and then let the magic appear … right before our eyes. They undoubtedly hear the naysayers: people who make it clear the project being set forward by them lacks vision, clarity, and sometimes, good old common sense. In a perfect scenario, one glance of someone on the $5 bill will inspire and motivate us to chase our own dream … whether it is a multi-decade journey, conversely, or just trying to make it through another challenging day. His head bouncing and his eyes slightly grimacing, and then, instantly, turning into satisfaction, knowing he was one step closer to home. I see that red and white T-shirt, the map of Canada, and those iconic three words: Marathon of Hope.
