A camera that could help prevent terror attacks is to be deployed at crowded concerts and sports events. ThruVis is being launched by surveillance firm Digital Barriers, which has teamed up with global security giant G4S. Eric Alexander, managing director of G4S Events, said it would reduce queue times and provide a higher level of protection without causing any privacy concerns. Zak Doffman, chief executive of AIM-listed Digital Barriers, said: ThruVis will give a virtual pat-down to everyone walking past the camera, seeking to detect a threat to life. And it will not cause any privacy concerns, Doffman said, because while the body will be shown as a white outline, any weapon would appear as a dark object.
