Argh, where’s the cable technician? On a map, thanks to Glympse’s new deal with Time Warner Cable

Time Warner customers will receive a web link unique to their appointment, sent via text or email. The enhanced TechTracker feature displays the technician’s name, photo, ID number, estimated time of arrival, and real-time location on the map. “In today’s on-demand economy, people expect a new level of engagement from service providers, whether it’s waiting for their service technician or package delivery,” Bryan Trussel, co-founder and CEO of Glympse, said in a statement. Time Warner is initially rolling out the enhanced TechTracker features in Southern California, and the company said it plans to expand across all of its service areas by the end of May.
