Benetech, Inc. Increasing Its Impact on Dust Control and Employee Safety at U.S. Cement Plants
Summary
After identifying the problem points and removing the existing skirt system, Benetech installed a 40-foot MaxZone® Modular Skirtboard and Belt Support system with inspection doors, tracker trainers, a V-Plow, dust curtains, idlers, peaked hoods, sealing skirt rubber with quick release clamps, and externally adjustable internal wearliners. To improve the flow of material, Benetech modified the existing chute to bring it closer to the belt for much gentler loading and impact, which reduced dust and spillage as well. Beyond greatly enhancing dust control, material flow and retention, and conveyor-belt life, Benetech’s solution drastically reduced the plant’s maintenance expenses and hours. To support sustainable results after system installation, Benetech trained and worked alongside plant personnel to help ensure proper operation and maintenance. A partner in planning, engineering and operating dust-control and material-handling systems, Benetech helps companies assess challenges, establish priorities and achieve the results they require.
