Here are the highlights: The TNSR Mapping of Address and Port using Translation (MAP-T) Border Router (BR) implementation improves compliance with RFC 7599, and provides the following features: The addition of Shallow Virtual Assembly (SVA) to TNSR provides a more efficient method of processing fragmented IPv4 traffic by retaining Layer 3 and Layer 4 information so that any following fragments can have operations applied using the Layer 3 and 4 data from the initial fragment. When compared to full reassembly, SVA decrease buffers required for a given network load, while also decreasing latency across a network path.
