Full-service shop Sandbox acquired Orange County-based digital marketing agency ymarketing to expand the Chicago-based agencys presence on the West Coast and add to its media, analytics and customer relationship management (CRM) offerings. Founded in 2002 by CEO Ryan Lash, the 70-person ymarketing focuses on data visualization and analytics with a roster of clients that includes Yamaha and Hair Club. Under the agreement, founder Lash will now report to Joe Kuchta, Chief Client Officer, Sandbox. Ymarketing will no longer operate under its own name and will rebrand as a Sandbox unit. However, Ymarketing will continue its full operation in its current space in Orange County, California.
