Youth football clinic scheduled ahead of 2019 Xenith Prep Kickoff Classic

Over 100 Detroit Warriors players, ages 8-13, will learn from coaches and players participating in the 2019 Xenith Prep Kickoff Classic, which takes place Aug. 29-31 at Wayne State University’s Tom Adams Field in Detroit. Kids will also be taught the proper warmup and cool down methods through the Detroit Medical Center. The Dairy Industry of Michigan will provide a seminar for the players regarding the importance of proper post-activity nutrition. “The Detroit Sports Commission is proud to host the Xenith Prep Kickoff Classic Youth Clinic in partnership with SAY Detroit Play Center and Xenith,” said Dave Beachnau, Prep Kickoff Classic founder. “This clinic will offer young players from the Detroit Warriors youth football program an opportunity to learn proper technique, training and nutrition guidance from local high school coaches and players.
