General News

Summary

Looking to further expand its national footprint in 2020, VAI is completing its latest state of the art data center on Jan. 25, 2020 to serve its growing cloud customer base. VAI’s Cloud has not only enabled monumental growth for the company, but it has also helped VAI’s customer base streamline operations and improve ROI. “AVA’s entire enterprise resource planning system, which includes financials, order processing, procurement, analytics, and warehousing, is cloud-based,” said Domenic Capul, a vice president at AVA in a Newsday article. “Moving to the cloud has helped keep AVAs infrastructure running smoothly in the case of power outages, which previously would have prevented it from accessing critical functions when servers were down.” In Sept. 2019, VAI launched an upgraded version of its flagship enterprise resource planning solution, S2K 6.1, which includes enhanced features such as advanced inventory management, integrated CRM and marketing, and enhanced analytics and mobile applications. The company plans to invest significantly in research and development for its S2K for Pharma and S2K for Food solutions, specifically looking at regulatory requirements such as serialization innovations.
