Pawscout receives $3 million in latest funding round
Summary
The funding round was led by Leadout Capital. This additional capital will help Pawscout continue to create fun and safe neighborhoods for pets through the U.S. by giving users tools to safeguard their pets and to quickly rally the aid of their community if the worst happens and their pet goes missing, said Andrea Chavez, founder of Pawscout. The company has already helped reunite more than 4700 lost pets with their people. The free Pawscout App empowers pet owners and lovers to create medical and behavioral profiles for their pets, coordinate search and rescue, meet for playdates, swap tips, and generally engage with their local community over everything pets: all in real time. The Pawscout Tag merges Bluetooth connectivity, a rich smartphone app, and a cloud service to build engagement among pet-passionate people who enjoy features like community pet-finding, outdoor virtual leash, walk-tracking, thousands of pet-friendly locations and pet hazards, and a rich digital profile with critical health and behavioral information.
