Summary
Morten Misfeldt will be head of the new Center for Digital Education founded in a collaboration between DIKU and IND and the professorship is therefor shared between the two departments. The inaugural lecture will be part of the launch of the Center for Digital Education (see full programme and sign up here). In the inaugural lecture I will describe my work with Digital Education in relation to the topic mathematics, ranging from the development of new educational technologies over pedagogical problems related to the use of cognitive tools in the classroom, to transformations of core disciplinary methods and values. Furthemore Morten Misfeldt will describe the ambitions and work-plan for the center for digital education that we are in the process of establishing. The center is a collaboration between DIKU and IND (department of science education), and is intended to cover areas such as Learning Analytics, Computer Science Education, the use of cognitive tools in learning the disciplines, Implementation of digital solutions in the educational sector and technological aspects of university pedagogy.
