Aryeh Finegold Races On; Raises $8 Mln for New Start-Up - Israel's Business Arena - Globes

Former Mercury Interactive chairman Aryeh Finegold has set up a new start-up company called Orsus, which develops e-mail software. Orsus raised $8 million today from a group of investors, including Clal Industries, capital venture fund Cedar, and Finegold himself. Finegold would not disclose the size of his holding in the new company, but he said he had always believed in wide distribution of shares to employees. The company’s solution enables high-speed connectivity between the sites of commercial enterprises, so that they can transact electronic deals with each other. Orsus is the brainchild of Amir Weinberg, a former member of the Manara kibbutz, who held administrative and development positions in Mercury in the last nine years.
