New Hope Treatment Center to implement new software suite
Summary
The organization, a residential care facility offering behavioral health services in nine counties, spent two years looking for the right vendor, says Eric Baumgartner, CEO and President at New Hope. “Throughout the process, we struggled to find an EHR vendor that understood and could accommodate our unique mix of services, rather than boxing us into a mold as a hospital or outpatient practice,” he explains. “We are neither of those things and Core truly understands our business both on a federal and granular level, and could genuinely meet our needs.” Offering specialized residential services for male and female adolescents ages 12 to 21, New Hope provides a variety of treatments that include mood disorders, substance abuse issues, behavioral disorders and offensive sexual behavior. After vetting nine prospective EHR vendors on the criteria of reputation, company relationships, price, platform flexibility and product features, Core was selected for its ability to meet the needs of the organization and community, Baumgartner adds. Joining up with Core also will allow New Hope Treatment Centers to connect to North Carolina’s Health Information Exchange by 2020 and meet a mandate enacted by the state legislature.
