Balluff’s M12 Capacitive Sensors with IO-Link Accurately Detect Nonmetallic Materials and Levels of Liquids and Solids

General News

Summary

With improved electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and sensing faces composed of polyetheretherketone (PEEK), they provide outstanding chemical resistance. These capacitive sensors are ideal for detecting the presence of solids, but are equally good at detecting material or liquids like granulates, sugar, oil, and aqueous media through a nonmetal wall, such as packaging, glass or plastic, with a maximum thickness of 4 mm. The IO-Link versions can use IO-Link Device Manager software to configure features like full/empty calibration, switching setpoint, and output type. Balluff is a leading supplier of networked IO-Link control system architectures that unlock the potential of the IIoT and Industry 4.0. Industries served include: automotive, packaging, food processing, beverages, tire, primary metals, conventional and alternative energy, semiconductor, plastics, and fluid power.
