General News

Summary

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Indegy, a leading provider of security solutions for industrial control system (ICS) and operational technology (OT) environments, announced today the appointment of Juan Lara as Global Vice President of Sales Engineering. Juan will present a session on the top security threats facing industrial organizations at this year’s SCADA Tech Summit on August 28. Only a few months ago, hackers launched a denial of service (DDoS) attack that impacted utility operations in densely populated areas across several states, including California, Utah and Wyoming. He joined Indegy from enterprise data and application software vendor Imperva, which was acquired by Thoma Bravo for $2.1B in 2018, where he led sales engineering. He has also held sales engineering roles with Aladdin Knowledge Systems and Appteks INC. His SCADA Tech Summit session will cover complications associated with merging IT and OT infrastructures, how the increased usage of IIoT devices in previously air-gapped OT networks is creating new security challenges and attack vectors, and how operators can identify and remediate weak links and vulnerabilities in their SCADA environment.
