General News

Summary

The UTM:RPM software platform originally launched with an iOS-powered operating system compatible with an iPhone and iPad tablets. Patients with congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), diabetes or pneumonia, who have been discharged from the hospital and are at risk of readmission, can be provisioned with the UTM:RPM app on their smartphones through their healthcare providers. In addition to hospitals, UTM:RPM has been designed for use in settings such as skilled nursing facilities, assisted living residences, senior housing communities and physician practices, including telemedicine specialists. Dr. Janine Darby, owner and operator of Lifestyle Changes, LLC, a virtual medical practice in Audubon, Pa., uses the UTM:RPM solution to monitor patients enrolled in her comprehensive weight management program. “UTM’s technology has helped me keep a closer eye on my patients by holding them accountable during their weight loss journey,” said Dr. Darby.
