Checkmate Lifting & Safety are pleased to have been selected for another prestigious and iconic project on the landmark spire of the Macau Tower Entertainment and Convention Centre. Working with companies Altisafe and Altitech (Checkmate’s regional distributor and installer based in Hong Kong & Macau), Checkmate’s Vertical Rail System was selected to replace an older cable based fall arrest system on the tower’s mast, and has been fully operational since February 2019. Tourists and ‘Urban Adventurers’ pay for a guided climb along a series of internal and two external ladders on the tower’s mast. Rewarded with breath taking views of Macau and Southern China, the tourists and ‘Urban Adventurers’ clearly understand that Checkmate’s Vertical Rail System plays an essential role in their security, and gives them a safe experience of a life time.
