Lipari Foods Issues Voluntary Recall of Various Bulk and Retail Cheese Products Due to Possible Health Risk Lipari Foods, LLC has issued a voluntary recall of various bulk and retail cheeses manufactured by Deutsch Kase Haus due to potential contamination of Listeria monocytogenes. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women. The products were distributed to food service and retail stores throughout Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Wisconsin and West Virginia. This was brought to our attention by Deutsch Kase Haus in response to their recent recall due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes that originated from the supplier’s facility. As a precaution, Lipari Foods products are being recalled as they have the potential to be contaminated due to the fact that they were manufactured by Deutsch Kase Haus.
