NCIER® Releases Free Active Shooter Training for Every U.S. School and First Responder

NCIER released SSAVEIM Foundations, a free online training course for school staff and first responders. The course includes 13 short video modules that explain how a school violent incident unfolds and how coordinated response efforts work from the first 911 call through reunification. It is self-paced, available 24/7, and gives participants certificates while letting districts and agencies track completion at no cost. The offering is designed to complement existing school response protocols and extends NCIER’s in-person SSAVEIM training program.
