Emissions Reduction Alberta doles out nearly $51 million in slew of innovation investments |

Emissions Reduction Alberta announced nearly $51 million in funding for 16 innovation projects across the province. The projects target emissions cuts in sectors such as oil and gas, agriculture, construction, transportation, waste, electricity generation, and chemicals. Several recipients work on clean technology, including drone-based transmission line installation, lower-carbon building materials, hydrogen infrastructure, and carbon capture. The agency says the projects could reduce greenhouse gas emissions by more than 117,700 tonnes of CO2 by 2030 if they succeed.
