Telemach / EON

MidEuropa acquired Telemach, a Slovenian cable TV and broadband operator, after approaching the corporate parent directly. The firm then supported a buy-and-build strategy to consolidate a fragmented domestic market. Telemach expanded from fewer than 20,000 subscribers to more than 100,000 and added high-speed internet and digital video services. The company later merged with EON and was sold to UnitedGlobalCom in 2005.
