Square Enix provides an avalanche of Final Fantasy VII Remake information

Going into Square Enix’s presser, the one thing people were most interested in hearing about was the Final Fantasy VII Remake. To their credit, Square Enix provided fans with what they call “an avalanche of information.” Years ago it was stated that the Final Fantasy VII Remake would release in parts, and that is still the case, except Square Enix refers to them as games. The first of these will be set in Midgar, and is said to “present a fully standalone gaming experience that provides a great starting point for the series.” Hell, it apparently needs two Blu-ray discs. Those who pre-order any version of the game will receive the Chocobo Chick Summon Materia DLC at launch, provided they do so through a participating retailer. Meanwhile, anyone who pre-orders the digital version of the game from the PlayStation Store will be entitled to the Cloud and Sephiroth dynamic theme for PS4.
