Notion, a Denver, CO-based provider of an IoT powered home awareness solution, secured $10m in Series A funding.The round was led by Draper Nexus and TransLink Capital, with participation from existing investors XL Innovate, Mesh VC and others.The company, which has raised approximately $15 in total funding since its launch in 2013, intends to use the capital to expand existing partnerships, as well as pursue new relationships with property insurers, support product development and manufacturing, increased marketing efforts, and critical hires across the company’s engineering, data science and marketing departments.Led by Brett Jurgens, Co-Founder and CEO, Notion provides a complete home awareness solution, powered by a smart home sensor, that sends alerts to a homeowner’s Android or iOS device for water leaks, smoke alarms, temperature changes and doors, garages and windows opening and closing.The company has partnered with three of the top five home insurance providers in the country to offer its loss mitigation system and home telematics solution.
