Medtronic completes SPR Therapeutics acquisition

Medtronic completed its $650 million acquisition of SPR Therapeutics and added the Sprint pain treatment device to its neuromodulation portfolio. The deal expands Medtronic’s position in chronic pain treatment and supports its push into faster-growing areas. SPR’s device is a temporary peripheral nerve stimulation system that the FDA cleared for 60 days of use.
