Investec deploying AI tools to every employee

Investec has turned on Microsoft Copilot for all 8,000 employees across its banking and wealth businesses. The rollout includes more than 800 AI agents already used to automate repetitive work and support knowledge tasks. Investec says the setup is saving more than 350,000 staff hours a year and is being reinvested into client service, advisory work, innovation, and growth. The bank is also pairing the deployment with employee training and a governance framework as it moves toward more agentic AI systems under human oversight.
