Cloud-Based HPC Offers Novel Ways to Accelerate Personalized...
Summary
UberCloud , a provider of cloud-based engineering simulation software and services, has recently been recognized for two groundbreaking experiments in personalized medicine. The experiments both illustrate how scientists can use high performance computing (HPC) to accelerate advancements in the field by enabling less expensive and invasive methodologies. UberCloud CEO Burak Yenier was awarded best paper at the Intel HPC Developer Conference for his presentation of the project. The National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro-Sciences (NIMHANS) recently implemented UberCloud technology to explore the use of computer simulations for transcranial Direct Brain Stimulation (tDBS). The NIMHANS team closely collaborated with partners from UberCloud, Dassault Systèmes, SIMULIA, Advania Systems, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and Intel.
