Marconi Technologies completes rigorous troposcatter tests in Sweden

Marconi Technologies completed a multi-day troposcatter communications evaluation with Sweden’s defense materiel agency FMV. The Archer system maintained a stable, high-performance link over a difficult 75-kilometer route and showed better performance than prior attempts on the same path. The trial also validated automatic antenna alignment, rapid deployment, and direct integration with the Swedish armed forces’ mobile network node. Marconi positions Archer as a tactical beyond-line-of-sight communications system for defense customers that need reliable links without satellite or fixed network infrastructure.
