Marconi Technologies completed a multi-day troposcatter communications evaluation with Sweden’s defense procurement authority, FMV. The Archer system maintained stable high-throughput links over a difficult 75-kilometer route and delivered data rates several times higher than earlier results on the same path. The test also confirmed fast deployment, automatic antenna alignment, and direct integration with the Swedish forces' mobile network node. Marconi positions Archer as a tactical beyond-line-of-sight communications product for harsh environments where satellite access is limited or degraded.
