Signify Enhances Philips Hue Matter Support Through Collaboration with Silicon Labs

Signify and Silicon Labs are adding concurrent multiprotocol support to select Philips Hue smart bulbs. The update lets devices run Zigbee and Matter over Thread at the same time on one chip. That should simplify setup for consumers while preserving the advanced Hue ecosystem features. The rollout uses Silicon Labs MG26 and SiMG301 wireless SoCs and will be delivered later this year through a software update.
