BuildingConnected, a San Francisco, CA-based bid management solution for the construction industry, closed $8.5m in Series A funding.The round, which has brought total funding to $10.7m, was led by CrossLink Capital, with participation from existing investors Homebrew, Freestyle, Bee Partners and Brick & Mortar.Led by Dustin DeVan, CEO, BuildingConnected is a bid management solution which connects hundreds of thousands of construction professionals across the US.The company is also launching a new set of features that give contractors the support and analytics tools they need to make business decisions faster.These include performance analytics, historical cost data, relationship tracking: prequalifications, integrated cloud storage, NDAs & sealed bids.
