SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- enCommerce, a provider of software and services for managing secure and personalized access to eBusiness portals, raised over $40 million in Series D funding. Current enCommerce backers who also participated in the round include R. B. Webber & Co., Merrill Lynch KECALP, Novell, Nexus Capital and The Entrepreneurs Fund. Netstock plans to use the funds to expand the reach of its flagship product, ShareBuilder.com, an online brokerage service that enables investors to buy stock in any of over 2,000 public companies and market Index securities in regular, dollar-based amounts. Paperloop.com is a joint venture between Miller Freeman Inc. and Pegasus Capital Advisors that leverages the assets of both companies to finance, develop and deliver a comprehensive set of products and services across multiple mediums including the Internet, print, conferences and trade shows.
