Breathe Biomedical Expands Clinical Study

Breathe BioMedical expanded its breast cancer detection clinical study by adding a fourth site in Pittsburgh. The company says its breath-test technology has shown 88.2% accuracy in a proof-of-concept study and is being developed as an adjunct to mammography for women with dense breast tissue. The larger trial now includes major research institutions such as Mayo Clinic, George Washington University, and Duke University. Breathe also plans to enroll patients at additional sites in Atlantic Canada later this summer and is working on commercialization plans with the New Brunswick government.
