EightStudio secured a Pre-A investment from Bluepoint Partners, with additional participation from Dongmun Partners and Magna Investment. The company develops MEDISTEP, a computer vision-based medical device that analyzes gait using only a mobile camera. Its markerless approach can generate more than 40 gait indicators in about one minute and claims lower cost and high accuracy compared with sensor-based systems. The product has already been adopted by eight major hospitals in Korea, including Asan Medical Center, and the company is expanding into public health and overseas markets. EightStudio also plans to broaden its use cases into sarcopenia screening and fall-risk assessment for older adults.
