Chainguard is expanding Agent Skills with a public registry of hardened AI agent skills, a private registry for internal skills, and a hardening-as-a-service tier. The update targets teams using AI coding agents in tools like Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and Gemini CLI. It also adds continuous re-evaluation, audit logs, and MCP integration so organizations can govern agent behavior more safely. The release addresses both third-party skill risk and the sprawl of internal skills across teams. Chainguard is also opening a closed beta for customers that want the company to harden in-house skills automatically.
