BBVA creates the new global area, AI Transformation

BBVA has created a new global AI Transformation area and placed it at the top level of the organization to accelerate its AI strategy. The unit will be led by Antonio Bravo and combines the existing data area with critical technology capabilities to industrialize the creation, deployment, and management of AI agents across the bank. BBVA wants to move from building isolated AI use cases to operating a shared AI ecosystem across the group. The bank expects this shift to speed development from months to weeks and enable more personalized, proactive financial services.
