Payable to accelerate Sri Lanka’s digital payments landscape following an acquisition by Short Circuit

Payable has been acquired by Short Circuit to expand digital payment acceptance in Sri Lanka. The deal aims to strengthen Payable’s merchant network, technology capabilities, and fintech offerings. Short Circuit plans to invest USD 2.5 million to help Payable add 100,000 merchants over the next four years and launch tools such as Soundbox and SoftPOS. The acquisition also creates an opportunity to combine payment services with ERP infrastructure for existing and new business customers.
