Third veto of the cryptoassets act

Poland’s president has vetoed a cryptoassets bill for the third time. The proposed law would have placed crypto-related businesses such as exchanges and currency kiosks under KNF supervision. The veto delays the rollout of a national supervisor required for full MiCA implementation and keeps the regulatory framework uncertain. Existing domestic providers may continue operating only until 1 July 2026 unless the law changes or a competent authority is named. Foreign firms licensed in other countries would not face the same restriction.
