Cylance, Inc., an Irvine, California-based global provider of cybersecurity products and services, raised $15m in funding.Backers included Khosla Ventures and Fairhaven Capital.Led by Stuart McClure, CEO-President, Cylance Cylance provides companies, governments and end users with cybersecurity products and services, which leverage: – a security process called Presponse™, an approach that couples the understanding of a hacker’s mentality with algorithmic intelligence and technology to be predictive and preventive against advanced threats, as well as – a global user community and a team of security experts.The company’s new Board includes Patrick Heim, Admiral William J. Fallon, and Alex Doll.Additionally, Cylance has established a Board of Advisors, whose members includes: Paul Forney (Invensys), David Willson (Army/NSA), Shane Shook (KPMG/PwC), Robert Bigman (CIA), Stewart Baker (Steptoe/NSA), Alex Nazaruk (GetCo), Michael Rauchman (GetCo), Eric Culp (formerly of ESRI), and Joseph Gabbert (formerly of McAfee and EMC).
