CBSE re-evaluation portal faces ‘cyberattack attempts’; 16,000 students submit applications

CBSE said its Class 12 re-evaluation portal faced multiple cyberattack attempts on the day it opened for students. The board reported a denial-of-service attack that produced nearly 1.5 million hits in two minutes, along with more than one lakh unauthorized file access attempts. Despite the pressure, the portal stayed live and handled more than 16,000 completed applications while supporting over 8,000 concurrent users. CBSE said its technical teams kept the service running, extended session time limits, and continue to monitor the platform closely.
