SiC, Copernic: combining catalysts and AI for lower-carbon production

SiC Systems and Copernic Catalysts are partnering to combine AI-driven engineering design with a next-generation ammonia catalyst. The collaboration aims to speed up greenfield ammonia plant design and cut the time to operations by more than a year. SiC will use physics-informed AI agents, parallel simulations, and digital twins to optimize plant configurations around Copernic’s Neptune catalyst. The companies say the approach can lower energy use, reduce CAPEX, and improve the economics of low-carbon ammonia production at industrial scale.
