Espressif is introducing the ESP32-S31 dual-core RISC-V SoC with Wi-Fi 6, Thread, Zigbee, Bluetooth 5.4, and Ethernet connectivity. The chip targets IoT and multimedia devices with camera, LCD, touch, audio, and hardware acceleration features. It also emphasizes security capabilities such as secure boot, encryption, TRNG, PUF, and key protection. Espressif says the platform will be supported by ESP-IDF, ESP-Matter, ESP-BLE-AUDIO, ESP-GMF, and direct integration with LLMs for intelligent client devices.
