AMD released the adaptive SoC series Versal Prime Gen 2

AMD has launched the Versal Prime Gen 2 adaptive SoC series for industrial and edge applications. The lineup includes three new devices with Arm Cortex-A78AE and Cortex-R52 cores, Mali-G78AE graphics, and support for features such as PCIe 5.0, DDR5, LPDDR5X, and 100GbE. The chips also add video codec capabilities and are supported by AMD Vivado Design Suite and AMD Vitis. AMD positions the series for industrial IoT use cases and says the devices will reach production in 2027.
