Goxip, a Hong Kong and Malaysia-based mobile marketplace for fashion and beauty, secured $5m in Series A funding.This round was co-led by Meitu (SEHK: 1357) and Chryseis Tan, the daughter of Malaysian billionaire Vincent Tan, Chairman of Berjaya Group, with participation from Nan Fung Group, one of Hong Kong’s leading conglomerates and property developers, through the The Mills Fabrica Fund, a newly created fund to support the growth of techstyle startups, Sabrina Ho, a Macau-based entrepreneur and daughter of billionaire Casino and entertainment tycoons Stanley Ho and Angela Leong, and Iman Allana, daughter of the Indian multi-billion dollar food company Allana Group family.Expand into new markets in Southeast Asia by leveraging Meitu’s 100M monthly active users in this fast-growing region; 3.Enter into strategic partnerships with mid- to high-end fashion and beauty brands in Southeast Asia.Led by Juliette Gimenez, Co-Founder and CEO, Goxip is a marketplace for searching, discovering and purchasing any fashion and beauty products from over 500 international online retailers.
