Abu Dhabi-DoH launches world’s first AI-powered intelligent surgical network

The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi is launching an emirate-wide AI-powered intelligent surgical network in collaboration with Johnson & Johnson and technology partners including AWS, NVIDIA and Core42. The initiative will deploy Johnson & Johnson’s Polyphonic™ open digital ecosystem to connect operating rooms across major providers (Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, PureHealth, Mediclinic Group, and NMC Healthcare) and deliver analytics and clinical insights at the point of care. The programme aims to scale responsible surgical AI, improve precision and consistency of care, accelerate research and shared learning, and provide clinicians with decision-support and training tools. Abu Dhabi positions this network as an open, interoperable global surgical innovation environment governed under DoH to continuously curate data and validate next-generation surgical AI.
