Seoul Investment Agency Accelerates Toward Global AI Hub… Pushes to Establish ‘AI CoE’ with Plug and Play

The Seoul Investment Promotion Foundation signed an MOU with global accelerator Plug and Play to establish an AI Center of Excellence aimed at attracting overseas AI companies to Seoul. It expanded the 'Seoul Forward' West Coast IR program to Silicon Valley and Los Angeles, hosting 50 global firms and about 150 participants at the Plug and Play Tech Center. The foundation conducted one-on-one deep interviews with ten physical-AI and advanced-materials companies and will provide tailored market-entry support, incentives, and an investment due-diligence invitation program later this year. Seoul also ran AI-focused investor briefings with local VCs and plans to continue Seoul Forward in additional cities to widen the pipeline for global tech company attraction.
