CCI Clears Blackstone’s Investment In AI Cloud Startup Neysa

Acquisitions

Summary

The Competition Commission of India approved Blackstone-led acquisition of a controlling stake in AI cloud startup Neysa Networks, with Blackstone investing through affiliates BCP Asia II Topco V and Asia II Topco XIV. Several other investors, including Nexus Ventures, TVS Capital, 360 ONE Asset, Anchorage Capital and Ontario Teachers’ Pension Fund, will also take stakes as part of the transaction. Neysa had entered a definitive agreement to raise $600M in equity (plus $600M in debt) in a round led by Blackstone at an enterprise valuation reported around $1.4B, and plans to use the capital to deploy over 20,000 GPUs across India. Neysa provides GPU-led cloud and AI infrastructure services to help enterprises train, customise and deploy AI workloads at scale, and this deal marks one of the largest funding/acquisition moves in India’s AI infrastructure space.
